Project Brief
Decorative Ironworks manufacture high quality bespoke decorative products. Each piece is hand crafted, so the online store we created for owner, John Keane, was set up in a way that allowed customers to order pieces but not pay in advance. This was a requirement because John, being a craftsman, wants to create each piece to suit the customers specific needs.
Since the website has been completed Annette has been providing Social Media Management to Decorative Ironworks on both Instagram and Facebook to help build the customers online presence and help their Search Engine Optimisation.

Project Experience
Our starting point for this online store was WooCommerce, the ecommerce engine from WordPress. We knew we would have to change the default functionality in a significant way, to effectively disable direct purchases but to allow browsing in the normal way and then have the buyer send an enquiry via the website when they are ready to purchase. All of this was done using custom coding. We also added a credit card processor page to allow John’s customers pay when the order was complete.
